I’m one week into my experiment to see if I can convince my body to sleep less without the need of an alarm. My method is simple every three to four hours I go to bed for precisely 35 minutes.
Then in the evening I go to bed at about midnight and see what time my body decides to wake up given that it has had all this extra sleep throughout the day. I’ve certainly seen a marked improvement in my work rate in the office and my concentration is through the roof. (see the earlier post about the maths problem that had been bugging me for months that I solved easily once on my new sleep pattern.
It’s early days and so far I am only down to about 6 hours total sleep a day, a chunk of which I am losing to the 12 minute commute each way between home and the office three times a day.
